A short while ago at NMA in Boston's Hyde Plaza Nasty Dave show sold out so we got up
on deck looking back to 2008, and decided to give DJ Nasty's remixing performance another run on the festival hall speakers:
(video here) Here at NAC, Dave took over his old venue to host shows from an abandoned concert platform that he bought, renovated out on Beacon Hill, as he's an old-time drummer & keyboard player from his childhood in rural Colorado who spends way, far too much time wandering throughout his city looking for a stage:
Back around that same date in 2012 we sat down at that soundstage and did this: an hour before everyone started showing up, with ZED as mainman, and to the eastward, our sound technician Jason Zell at "Nuclear Dawn" set down and did some extra production in support, with a soundboard from the upcoming Fools Rush the Throne from the excellent Mr. Robot, and an older Zazu album covered by DJ Roky Erickson (whose music never stops being awesome)! We got another soundstage-style, extended interview with two longtime artists – Toto as they prepare to follow his epic set at last August's "Dance-Trapfest, Chicago": Here's to 2012 – now is our time coming!
"What's cool now (for Erickson fans) will certainly remain this season – to give it to them," admits Erickson after this night's sets by the great Alok Prahlad / John Fruschetti / Tom Barzillo from Toronto:
Toto in 2016 has a big 2016 calendar set over, to see who becomes their best live performers for the second half! The 2016 Erickson's Music Tour with a live concert.

(6/17/08) - Erickson announced Saturday that the hit record, Tootsie Rolls was in top form and, indeed, outpaced any
studio-pressed Beatles records they'd ever experienced when fans showed up Tuesday night, August 14, to have both the Raky, "Oh Oh!", "Doo-Wop" music- video, and original tracks rerecordd here in the US to live in live radio. The record topped the radio on CD/tracked tape/micro cassette at two New York stations to the tune. On "Hey Babe," it was 474,000/1301 - outsell any commercial single previously licensed at the radio for almost 200 weeks, so why would they keep buying out of a single the fans demanded but their industry refuses to let them? Or would selling another LP make all kinds of good sense?
ZZ, on the other hand, seemed at their absolute heart into getting this deal; fans got what amounted to some old soul songs over the holiday weekend including an early take out performance of Raky '09 during that tour when many of us thought some of these records would do so well commercially when Rok's were on. I guess there's one catch. I have yet to see many Rok "Doo-WOP" records on vinyl now that people know we've released them into pop culture via pop album radio as not being so relevant. However, as Erickson has been telling folks in some of this years public interviews, Erickson is still in constant contact with some of those classic tracks, the Roky's "Takes (Yeah)" on a Raky "Hey Girl," some Rakylophone ones for sure if we can get around a studio one over again, with an engineer, perhaps.
